Leslie Javorski is a food specialist with a media major
At one time Leslie wore an apron to work – which included several years in the 80′s as a personal chef (before there was an association, or even a name for it). Then she moved into television production. Making stories, it turns out, is a lot like making canapés – hours to produce, seconds to eat.
Around the introduction of silicon spatulas she began writing for food magazines. But she’s also written marketing materials for education and the tech sector, as well as PR and communications for arts groups.
After that, it was the specialty food business, managing the wholesale division of a gourmet food store where she got to know about Tahitian vanilla, Cuban chocolate, pink salt, white butter, blue corn… and the people who buy it, the customers.
Food Words Communications is a natural pairing of food expertise and writing, two passions.
